House of Sol began with a love of old places, good design and the possibility of seeing things differently.

Created by Kyneton locals and creatives Tara Pearce and Taras Pearce , in collaboration with talented local designers, makers and skilled tradespeople, Sol has been lovingly restored and reimagined, drawing inspiration from their travels and a shared appreciation for the colours and textures of the Australian landscape.

Rather than erase the marks of time, they chose to embrace them. Original bluestone, handmade brick and layers of history sit alongside contemporary colour, rich textures and unexpected details, bringing the old and new together in a way that feels distinctly Sol.

More than a place to stay, House of Sol has been an ongoing creative exploration. A much-loved home that has also served as a backdrop for photography and film, a gathering place, and a space shared with artists, musicians, brands, travellers and ideas.
